Sokito Scudetta FG Review: A Strong First Step into the Market

Sokito’s Scudetta FG represents a significant milestone as the brand makes its first real push into the mainstream football boot market. It’s clear that this is a brand aiming to challenge the norms, and while it's not perfect, it offers a unique proposition that players should take note of.

Design & Build Quality: 7.5/10

Right off the bat, the design is sleek and clean. The crisp white colorway is sharp, with no obnoxious logos cluttering the look. It’s a minimalist aesthetic that feels fresh. The materials feel premium and incredibly lightweight, creating a fast and agile impression. Build quality seems solid, although there’s a caveat: after a few sessions, the external heel cup began to come away from the upper, a bit of a disappointment. However, it didn’t affect performance. This issue also mirrors what happens on the classic F50 Adizero 2014 model Sokito seems to be drawing inspiration from.

Fit & Comfort: 9.5/10

Straight out of the box, the Scudetta boots are tight, but the material provides some give. The fit is anatomically perfect, hugging your foot in a way that feels custom-made. They’re not quite true to size—about 0.25 to 0.5 smaller than typical Nike boots. If you’re usually a US 9, going up half a size is recommended. A break-in period of about 3-4 sessions is all it took, and after that, they felt match-ready.

On-Pitch Performance: 8/10

On the pitch, the Scudetta boots deliver a sense of speed and snappiness. The rigid forefoot gives a quick, reactive feel when sprinting, while the small grip elements on the upper provide just enough control without being obtrusive. However, there’s a trade-off: in heavy rain, the upper’s sleek surface can make ball control trickier. When it comes to striking, the boots offer a clean, no-nonsense surface—powerful and precise without any unnecessary distractions.

Value for Money: 8/10

Sokito offers a solid alternative to the big brands at a slightly lower price point, but to truly carve a niche in the market, a bigger discount would be needed. Currently, it’s possible to find Nike or Adidas sale stock at cheaper prices, which could make it harder to convince price-conscious buyers.

Final Thoughts: 8.5/10

The Sokito Scudetta is a very strong first step for the brand, offering something that isn’t currently on the market: a thin, leather-like speed boot without excessive grip elements. It’s fast, sleek, and functional while maintaining a clean, minimalist design. If Sokito continues to refine durability and price competitiveness, they could become a formidable choice for serious players looking for a unique speed boot experience.
